This article discusses the many ways in which assistive technology can be a beneficial tool for helping students with learning disabilities reach their fullest potential. I found it particularly interesting that the article mentions that assistive technology helps students with learning disabilities be able to be more independent and self-reliant instead of having to rely on help from teachers, students, and parents all the time. This is a good point that I had never thought about prior to reading this article. There are countless types of assistive technologies that can be used to help students with all types of learning disabilities. I think that it is important that schools, teachers, and parents be informed about these different types of technologies so that they can make informed decisions as to which ones will best help individual students.
