Technology in Special Ed Classrooms

Throughout the semester we have focused on using technology in the classroom, and which technologies will provide students with the best educational support. Although that is great to investigate we haven’t really focused on the benefits of discussing technology’s place in a special education classroom. I found this website that is a teacher’a guide to incorporating technology–whether assistive or not– into a special education classroom and the benefits it has for the students.I thought this would be really cool to share because as we have learned about assistive and augmentative technologies, they provide the user many different benefits. I also looked up some of the pros and cons, and the general conscious is that the pros outweigh the cons by a lot. Just something a little different to add to our blog.
