Audiobooks can make a difference

As I was looking for information on audiobooks and how they are used in the classroom, I came across this study. A librarian conducted an audiobook club for struggling readers in her school. The students were analyzed by a team of researchers that found the struggling readers fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and many other key skills one learns from being able to read well increased because of the help audiobooks provided them. The researchers and analysts even mentioned that students were reading books they would have never been able to access had they been reading the book on their own. This study would be good for anyone to read because it may help bridge the gap between readers in our future classrooms.
