This short article by a middle school teacher offers ten ways to use podcasts in the classroom. They were all very fun engaging activities that could be modified even for young elementary school students. The one idea I really enjoyed and found super interesting was the Podcasting Pen Pals. I liked this idea alot because in 4th grade we had pen pals from across the country. This new way of using podcasts would be so fun for the students to not only have pen pals, but to hear what they had to say, and could go back and forth quicker in order to have more discussions. I thought this idea was something for everyone to enjoy and an efficient way to learn about different people, cultures, or way of life. It would be great for a Social Studies project.
