Learning With Laptops: An Urban School Shows Gains
This article is about laptops that were used in a kindergarten through eights grade school in Connecticut. In 2002, the school was selected as one of 5 schools to receive a $620,000 grant. The article touches upon lessons and what teachers were expected of students while using the laptops. The teachers were taught to use the laptops in lessons as tools and not distractions. The teachers are responsible for completing a log about their lessons and how the technology was used. There is proven to be many gains from having the computers in the classroom.
